Live Surgery as an Educational Methodology

Live surgical procedures constitute an essential component of the educational methodology of the 2nd International In-Office Breathing Disorders Surgery Course.

These sessions are conducted exclusively for educational purposes within the clinical environment of Hospital Dr. Nélio Mendonça, allowing participants to observe real-life clinical practice performed by experienced faculty members.

During each procedure, participants will have the opportunity to discuss:

  • patient selection;

  • procedural planning;

  • local anaesthesia protocols;

  • operative workflow;

  • intra-operative decision-making;

  • complication prevention and management;

  • post-procedural care;

  • expected clinical outcomes.
